Is there a way to keep my modem online like the PC apps and linux - but just have it continually monitor for data and only go offline when data is detected? I would be okay with it sleeping when I'm not using the modem, but waking up if there is something on the data stream?

Hello, I've got a mini USB Huawei HG532e modem and I have the same problem with the modem constantly checking for data, would someone be able to help me with this problem please. I've searched everywhere to find the answer and I cannot. I have searched the web and tried other suggestions that was given to me that hasn't worked and been unable to make any progress. I'm desperately trying to get this fixed and cannot seem to find the solution. It's been about 6 months since I bought this modem and still haven't got the answer to what I'm asking now. If anyone can help that would be very appreciated.

I don't know if this is the right section to put this but it seems like a hardware problem to me.
