However, unlike other developers who have tried to copycat the movie-to-game transition, Ubisoft have gone an unprecedented route. Their new game is actually based on the planet Pandora after Jake learns about his true identity as a Na'vi within the game. In order to have a better grasp on the film's plot, it is necessary to have a valid review of the movie's plot. In the film, a paraplegic ex-Marine named Jake Sully is a part of a black ops mission that goes horribly wrong. The marines were sent to covertly enter Pandora in order to search for a possible new energy source. Unfortunately, the mission goes terribly wrong and Jake ends up being stranded amongst the native Na'vi tribe of Pandora known as "Rudzak". Being stranded amongst these natives does not sit well with Jake though as he must learn their language, customs and how they live in order for him to make his way back home. He is tasked as to teach the Na'vi how to use humans as avatars and also communicate to them, as well as how to live with humans without making an enemy. The Na'vi's way of life is slowly changed by Jake, and he ends up falling in love with a native named Neytiri. James Cameron prescripted a plot for a video game that was surprisingly fleshed out. He definitely put his ideas into the plot for this particular version of Avatar, and it can be seen throughout the gameplay. The plotline for this plot line features four different zones where you will have the opportunity to visit various locations from within Pandora. The zones include the Na'vi Village, The Spirit World, The Airborne Forest and the Learning Center. Each zone contains various different locations that are catered to let you explore various aspects of Pandora that can be further enhanced with puzzles within them. Most of the puzzles are surprisingly easy to solve, but they still provide you with a learning experience while also creating a sense of wonderment as you discover what else is going on there. The story in this version is carried out through a series of cut scenes that show scenes from Jake's point of view as he slowly learns the Na'vi way. This allows him to build up a connection with the Na'vi and the world itself, and also furthers his connection with Neytiri. The ending can be seen as a 'bad ending' since Jake refuses to join the Na'vi tribe at the end of the game. Instead, he leaves Pandora with an empty feeling of sorrow as he flies away from Pandora as he does not want to stick around as a human.
