Due to physical symptoms and severe thrombocytopenia, suspected diagnosis of FA was made and the diagnosis was confirmed by molecular analysis of FA genes. The patient was hospitalized for 7 days for transplantation of allogeneic bone marrow. Genetic analysis showed compound heterozygous mutations in FANCC (A1901G; Y664C) and FANCD2 (G490E; G981S). Moreover, his second son was also affected with the same manifestation. Patient's parents were healthy and had normal platelet count and no history of mucocutaneous infections. The patient also had many features of autoimmunity, like alopecia, abdominal pain, and paronychia. He also developed Fanconi syndrome.
